Beginning With Texas Holdem

It’s amazing how often players get swept up in the excitement of the game and forget the basics. There are two fundamentals to keep in mind at all times:

1. The two cards you hold are the only cards that can truly give you the chance to win.

2. All of the face-up cards are shared by you and every other player. You have to focus at least as much on what those cards could mean to other players as to what they do for the strength of your hand.

The first decision you make in a hand of Texas Hold ‘Em Poker happens with your only knowledge being what your two cards are. When you look at your cards, be careful not to reveal anything with your reaction — facial or otherwise. Remember that the less your opponents think they know, the stronger your position at the table. The key is to remain calm and emotionless. Oh, and good luck with that. It’s something I have to work on all the time.

How do you know how good your cards are? It depends in part on how many players are in the game, but a general rule is that you should consider folding before the flop if you have two non-pair cards less than 10. A more conservative player might fold if just one of the cards is less than 10; a more aggressive player might stay in with two non-pair of the same suit. Consider the possibilities for either a straight or a flush, not just a pair.

If the big blind (a forced bet to ensure that every hand has a pot) is low enough, it may be worthwhile to pay in to see the flop.

But be careful — it can get you into a lot of trouble. A lot of the strategy is based on the cards in your hand. You must be willing to suffer through a series of poor hands without getting impatient. The good hands will come, and you’ll be in a much better position to take advantage if you don’t waste your chips trying to get something from nothing.

The better the technology behind the games the more likely you are to get engrossed in the experience and win money. Whichever site you sign up with, take a test drive with free credits and try out the casino floor- a good online casino website will offer a practice play option where you can go into the actual casino software with some practice money to splash out and try your hand on the various games, including bacarrat, blackjack, roulette.

Online casinos will offer you free money or a matching bonus to play on their tables just for joining. Online casinos want to develop a relationship and trust with their first time online casino customers. By giving upfront credits, (and these are credits you can use to earn actual money and cash out), this allows them to do so.

The best online casino’s know that when a customer find a site they trust and find easy and fun to play with they are likely to demonstrate loyalty and make that site their first choice for all their online gambling in the future. Expect to be offered up to $300 upon signing up for an online casino or poker site upon deposit of at least $200. This is a way for the casinos to give you more then you deposit.

When a webmaster decides to create a site to promote casinos the first thing he or she will explore is the online casino affiliate programs. Affiliate programs for online casinos are numerous and each has a unique characteristic. CPays, Brightshare, RoxyAffiliates, Casino Blasters and Casino Partners just to name a few.

However, the webmaster may have a difficult time trying to choose the one that should be promoted. They all have great terms, offer bonuses and seem to have tens of incentives. Yet internet gambling is in itself such a lucrative field that any terms offered seem low.

Still, since online casinos are so popular the turn around ration is great and allows webmasters to make a lot of money if the right affiliate program is chosen. Many programs have a system that works well for players and affiliate members like BrightShare and RoxyAffiliates.

Others like CPays and Casino Blasters have a slow response time and there have been many complaints against them. The best option webmasters have is opting for an online casino affiliate program after going to the various forums and learning about the reactions members have had with the programs.
